Liquid silica gel can be divided into single-component and two-component liquid silica gel according to its packaging method, and can be divided into condensation type and addition molding according to the vulcanization mechanism. Therefore, liquid silica gel can be divided into three types according to the composition, vulcanization mechanism and use process, namely, single-component liquid silica gel, two-component condensation type liquid silica gel and two-component addition type liquid silica gel.
The raw rubber of one-component and two-component condensed liquid silica gel is α, ω-dihydroxy polysiloxane; the addition type liquid silica gel is a polysiloxane containing alkenyl groups and hydrogen side groups (or end groups) , Because during curing, good curing effect can often be achieved at slightly higher than room temperature (50～150℃), so it is also called low temperature vulcanized silica gel (LTV).
These three series of liquid silicone have their own advantages and disadvantages: the advantage of single-component liquid silicone is that it is easy to use, but the deep curing speed is more difficult; the advantage of two-component liquid silicone is that it does not emit heat during curing and has a small shrinkage rate. No expansion, no internal stress, curing can be carried out on the inside and on the surface at the same time, and deep vulcanization is possible; the vulcanization time of the addition type liquid silicone is mainly determined by the temperature, so the vulcanization speed can be controlled by adjusting the temperature.
